Philippe not in tavern like quest guide says.

So I'm doing the Brotherhood/Mings storyline
and I sailed to Guadeloupe and Maximus talked to me on
the pier. I went to tavern and gave map pieces to Jack Rackham.
I went to store and then back to tavern.
But no one is there.
The wiki says Philippe should be there and talk to me.
Basically I'm stuck. What do I do?

Did you buy anything in the store - if not then try buying some stuff for your ship.

I think you will have to go back to a save before you entered the tavern on Guadeloupe the first time & go through talking to Jack Rackham again.

When you go back to the tavern after going to the store - Maximus & Philippe should be there and Philippe should talk to you followed by a quest book update.

If you don't go to the store then Lt Bligh should be in the tavern ( hidden round by the fire ) - and you talk to him. When you say no-one was there are you sure Bligh was missing.

Also - if you used Fast Travel to go between the tavern & store - try walking instead.
