Pirate Film Music

i think we've commented quite a lot already. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I've heard nothing on Captain Blood, The Sea Hawk, Mutiny on the Bounty, etc. These are all pretty relevant, I think. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Haven't listened to it in full yet, but it sounds nice and period. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

one of my favorites of those tracks i posted would be 'buccaneers'. 'departure' is fun too.

Nice work pieter <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
Are those music packs compitable with the potc game?

First off... <i>WOW!</i> I can't believe that I hadn't noticed this tread 'till now!

Secondly, there is an excellent album that I just purchased off iTunes today called <b>Position Music - Orchestral Series Vol. 2</b> by <b>James Dooley</b>. Its modern music, sounds very similar to Hans Zimmer. There's a very strong air of intense adventure and action, perhaps more than Zimmer's music. This sort of score is perfect for movie trailers, as each track is about a minute and fifteen seconds to two minutes and twenty seconds long. Even better, it comes at an excellent price... $9.99 on iTunes for 34 tracks (the second half of the tracks are pure instrumental variants).

And lastly... Pieter, I have all three Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks and all the pieces of music used in the At World's End trailer... so what do you have that I don't? Could that be compiled into a "Bonus Pack" for those who already have all the scores and don't need the rest?

Bonus pack contains music that is used in each scene of the movie. So the music you hear during the Blacksmithfight, is the same music as in this pack.

Its good stuff. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

i can't find anything just yet. i probably will in due time.

EDIT: wait, something's beginning to turn up. not much yet, but that'll come later.

i'll try to upload the music from 'tortuga bay' to the FTP. it's a bit like the music in tropico 2. some of the soundtracks might seem a bit boring at first, but nearly all of them change roughly in the middle to something better.

i'm uploading the soundtracks now. don't be alarmed by the wierd letters below the track title, that's just the tag from the converter.

okay, they're there. i didn't sort out the bad ones, but some are indeed better than others. they're fairly small of size, so it should be a quick download.

Yes! Thankee Pieter! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> Your list was most helpful!

And what did you upload Morgan? Did you find the "Position Music - OSV. 2" album, or something else?

nooope. it's the music from tortuga bay, like i said a few posts before. there's two tracks in them that aren't that good and i'd rather remove, as i found out. gotta look into it which ones they where.

Ah... missed that note... sorry. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
