Pirates' movies

As far as what's known of Blackbeard none of those movies is historically correct, but they're about one of the most fascinating pirates in history...
personally i would like to see a movie about Jean-David Neu (Francois L'Olonnois).

Aye, mate. this movie is on DVD. The original title in Italian is : "Il Corsaro nero".
There was a region 2 swedish release and a region 4 australian release. It's a bit hard to have a copy now but you can find it on e-bay.

Thanks for the information. Need to add this DVD to my pirate movie collection. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Ahoy lads, I'm back with a lot of new movies.
Italian pirate movies, hard to get but fun to watch :

-Pirate of the Half Moon "Il Corsaro della mezzaluna" (1957)
-Avenger of the Seven Seas "Il Giustiziere dei mari" (1961)
-Queen of the Seas (Hell Below Deck (UK))"Le Avventure di Mary Read" (1961)
-Morgan, the pirate "Morgan il pirata" (1961)

First post list updated

- Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa (Pasha), 1951 : directed by Baha Gelenbevi, with Cüneyt Gökçer

- Raiders of the Seven Seas
Barbarossa (USA) (working title), 1953
directed by Sidney Salkow, with John Payne

Sounds like good films, mate.

Yersterday I saw The son of Captain Blood with Sean Flynn, aye the son of Errol Flynn. A nice movie not better than Captain Blood but a good one.

Thanks matey,
The one called "Barbaros Hayrettin Pasa" is a Turkish movie.
In those years (1951) this movie was a big production.
Also, montage of the film was a top notch of it's time.

But it was 1951 and alternatives were very limited.
Cannons of the ship were made from the stove's pipes..

Samurai Champloo added!!
Great anime directed by Shinichir Watanabe, the director of Cowboy Bebop.
In the episodes 13 & 14, we learn that one of the main character was a pirate.

Blackbeard: the real pirate of the caribbean.

it's actually a documentary about him, but it looks much more like a low-budget movie. they actually kept using the same two ships throughout the entire movie. it looked rather stupid at times, as blackbeard would sight a sloop that was actually the ship that HE was on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

ok. i still don't get how blackbeard suddenly had his old ship again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> never figured out what happened to the big one. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />

no, that happened as well. what i'm talking about is that he suddenly had his old ship instead of the slaveship that he had captured before.
