Pirates of the Caribbean 4

Perhaps we should add that as a disclaimer in the first post of this thread. "All ideas posted here can be used for a future Pirates of the Caribbean 4 script without any charge".
 
I'm no legal expert but I would assume that would be enough to absolve them of any danger of legal action for plagiarism on their part.
 
i wonder what the result of all this will be. but what if they've already started?

I don't think they already started. They'll probably be wanting to take a long and well-deserved break after the third film. And the scriptwriters will most certainly wait with working on the script until they find a story worth telling.
 
I know I myself can be "slightly off", but everytime I watch a scene with Jack Sparrow present, this song is running through my head....what´s it called...Queen - I´m going slightly mad <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Would it be a goofy idea to suggest that, instead of saying they can use any of the ideas found here free of charge, they instead must agree to pay this site's hosting costs for, say, the next five years?

AWE and DMC were filmed at the same time as each other, I do think they probably should have either done them seperate or have them being released a bit further apart though

Yep next fifty, or give us the rights to release New Horizons under the brand "Disney" :cheeky
 
Would it be goofy? Yes. They're not going to use our ideas even if WE pay THEM money, I think.
But we all know that our story idea for the PotC prequel would be better than anything they'll be able to come up with. :razz

Yes it would. At least we are keeping it light, in the spirit of the first film, which was vastly superior to the other two. The series went off track when they started taking the characters too seriously. That's why I believe we had the right idea in going the prequel route, kind of reset everything as it were. There are a lot of good ideas in our little script.
 
old salt, i wouldnt call our prequel script small, it explains almost everything that happens in the movies that hasnt been explained yet
 
I don't think Old Salt meant it that way; he knows very well what it's like. ;)
