OK fellas im just going to do this on the fly, help out if you can and ill update it as i go. We should have done this a while ago ;):

1) Where is the Patch??
There is no patch, there never was one and probably never will, however there are 2 Russian patches. These will ruin the english game if you attempt to apply them.

2) I'm having the game crash lots with a Radeon Card..
Well there are 2 ways to help this;
1. change the AGP speed to x4 and turn fast writing off ( through the smart gear tab in advanced display properties in windows )
2. From Radeon9700: For all you Radeon owners if the game crashes here is a 80% sure way that the crashes will be much little or maybe even removed:

a.Download drivers for your video card at this site http://www.omegacorner.com/index_ati.html

b.Install the drivers and reinstall PotC just to be sure that there aren't any left bug with the other drivers(the old ones)

After that the game should run better and the crashes will probably be history.

3) I have an Nvidia card and the water looks white.

FILE DOWNLOAD HERE
Extract that to your POTC directory and overwrite.
That fixes the nvidia shader problems.

Em, Build 9.1 dont work, like not that the game wont `startup-but` that the :) mod doesent even exist...yes i started a new game.....help...lol ;):
 
Try install file path from 9.1 installer extract to/ go to control panel/program files/Bethseda/click on yellow program file folder/click install.That should work for ya.It would not load for me when I used the existing file path when you open up the installer. ;):

Yeah, the game uses DX8 but it supports DX9 no problems <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Maybe I should clarify me self <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Before I installed v11 the game used DX9 but after it only uses DX8. Strange....
 
Lots of crashes (either back to desktop or bluescreen).

Build 11 with ATI 9200SE, every driver is up to date. When I set the card as suggested ( agp 4x and `fast-write` off), POTC won't start <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

[ edit ] Well, it's working great, now , don't understand why it wouldn't start the other day...
 
I have a problem with the build 12 installation. I startet it before I went to sleep, and when I came back to check on it, it had stopped at the very end of the installation and gave an error message (Could not open file F:/GAMES/POTC/.../building.xx).

Starting this whole installatsion again? Is there really no such thing as downloading the whole thing before you install so that you have it on your computer?
