Problem with Beckett

Hi ,I've got problem with Beckett. I must escort him to Jamaica ,but Beckett is gone. I cant find him in port. Btw. im in Barbados.
 
He doesn't meet you in Barbados. Go to Jamaica and he should meet you on the dock.
 
Yeah the dialog doesnt make 100% sence there :(

But if you start sailing you see his ship is with you
 
If you have time at some point, feel free to let it make sense. :wp

Mings - Brotherhood storyline

Mings asks me to talk to Beckett in Speightstown Tavern. - I talk to Beckett & agree to escort his ship to Port Royale. - Beckett walks to tavern door and Fades away - Quest Book updates.

If I check F2 - ships interface in theTavern - Becketts Ship is now showing as a companion Ship. :yes

I exit tavern - on F2 - Ships interface - Becketts ship is now gone - when I set sail Becketts ship is not there :shrug - so why does it disappear the moment I exit the tavern. :?

( perhaps he decided he did not need a little navy cutter to escort his massive Indiaman ) :cheeky

Mings - Brotherhood storyline

Ok - No sign of Beckett's ship on F2 -Ships screen - or in Speightstown Port :eek:k

So I decide to go and sail by myself to Port Royale - no Beckett's ship in 3D Sailing :no

Arrive at Port Royale -- On jetty Beckett walks up to me - says he had nice trip :woot :rofl - tells me to go to Eitc office & Quest book updates Ok --> story line continues Ok

So there just seems to be a problem with Becketts ship being a companion. :shrug
 
LOL! That's really silly. I think that part could do with some rewriting.
Captain Maggee made some changes there, removing and re-adding Beckett as companion, but I get the impression that it isn't yet having the desired result.
 
There are two more problems :1.on Isla De Muerte you cant get to other shores without sail to.
2. The QB update (something like this) "I cant just sit around here.this is madness. I need to search the other bays of this island." appears when Petros tells Jack to go to San Juan on Puerto Rico when it should appear when Jack first bacomes a sjeleton
 
I have almost the same problem with Beckett, tho I can see him while I sail around Barbados, but as soon as I leave, he dissappears. So when I reach Jamaica, he's gone.

When you land at Port Royale jetty Beckett should walk up & talk to you -- if this happens the story will continue OK :yes

Seems that Beckett just decided he did not want to sail to Jamaica with you after all :rofl

I made some profits, and went to Port Royale, I entered the office, where Silas told me Beckett hasn't arrived yet, and i should go kill some time at the tavern. I did so, but the tavern door is locked now, after speaking to Thomas Tipman, who tells about Barbossas failure with the map, the door is still locked.

Which version of the game are you playing ? --- This is a bug that I thought had been fixed :modding

There is a problem with the "profit making" because even in taverns when they tell you somthing like - "Transporting Sandal from Curacao to Port royale is bound to make you rich" and I must tell you, IT IS A FILTHY LIE!! :whipa :whipa
So what I did to get more then 100% profit is -


So.. I got real close to Becket's ship at sea, and swaped ships with him HAHA!!
Then I sold the ship to make more then 100% profit because he told me that he will give me a company ship.
Well, I know it's not "ethical" but that's the pirate life HAHA!!
