Problems with B14A9 Gameplay

Two Men stand into each other, this are from my crew - I told them to follow me on land, no officers!

Another Problem : If I board an enemy ship and win the fight, after this i give the captain a chance to be my officer, the game crash to desktop an the enemy ship is a Tartane without nothing, everything count "0"

Another Problem: This men from Martinique, Saint Pierre sells absolut nothing, many other trader also.

Do you have more information about where this occured and any other possible applicable information? But not always. I've been capturing ships quite a bit yesterday and some surrendered and none gave that problem.
We need to somehow figure out what triggers that to occur. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Enable your error log, compile log and system log, look <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?s=&showtopic=9234&view=findpost&p=105875" target="_blank"><b>here</b></a> for how to do it, then to that again until it crash. After crashing open each file error.log, compile.log and system.log with notepad then copy the text and put it in your post here. I need to look at your logs to be able to see what's going wrong. After that we will see if we can fix the problem.

It seems this is another one of those CTD-because-too-much-text problems.
I don't quite understand why those have suddenly popped up, because I know those texts did use to work! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
Anyway, I have made a "fix" for it by splitting the text into two cases instead. This seems to work.

Additionally, I found a whole bunch of other related issues that I have solved so that the whole escort quest now appears to be playable.
I'll upload some small fixes later. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
this is a long shot, but maybe this is of the same kind as having too many sound files?
 
Not likely; it's got nothing to do with any alias or INI files. The problem occurs when the dialog sentences are too long.

There are a few problems with surrendered ship still in the code. My advice is never to board a surrendered ship unless you're absolutely sure it surrendered to you, and there may be problems if a ship surrenders, you board another ship, then try to board the surrendered ship.

There are only a couple of "safe" paths through the enemy captain dialog. If he fights you on deck, there don't seem to be any problems. If not, you need to put him in the hold and deal with him later. If you want him as an officer, talk to him in the hold after the boarding. Also, don't do *anything* else in the hold after you've dealt with a prisoner; go back to the ship deck first. Even checking a chest in the hold can cause the game to crash. If you have two prisoners, deal with them one at a time.

Oh, sorry. That link goes to the modder's forum. That link is mostly there for Pieter to check to see if the fix is in the newest version of the code, which I don't have yet.
