Reworking the Game's Music

It's on the PotC Files FTP in the "Pieter Pirate Music" folder.
See the <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?showtopic=10288" target="_blank">Pirates Ahoy! FTP</a> sticky on the Build Mod Forum for more information and login details.
The easiest is to download FTP Commander from my site or this site's download section; all login details are already set up in there.
So all you'd need to do is allow the program to use the internet in your Firewall and double-click the Files FTP,
then find the files you want and download them with the "Arrow left" button in the middle of the screen.
Let us know if it works for you and I'd also be interested to know how you like the music itself. And if you're interested in making a new music pack...? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I'll surely like it. I got lots of classic songs like the ones you got, but I don't think I can do a music pack because I can't combine mine with 19th century or Pirate game. I don't think that anyone would feel sensation but preposterous and exaggerated.

I got songs like from Star Wars, Star Trek, Metal Gear Solid, Medal Of Honor, Anno,...

The tracks on the FTP are appropirate*. Most of them anyway.
Star Wars and Medal of Honor are great; a lot of Star Trek is too. Not familiar with Metal Gear Solid or Anno.
The former sounds like it might be a bit too modern for my liking.

* = accidental typo that looks appropriate anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />

So are we going to do something with all those music files I uploaded?

I found two tracks that might be of interest:

Massive Attack - "Home of the whale" and Paco de Lucia - "Entre dos Aguas" the first would fit a quest nice and the second would blend in with a spanish port.

They are zipped in my music folder. Use them if you like.

Thanks; downloading now. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
I wonder if somebody's going to try and use all this music for a music pack. I can't do EVERYTHING myself, can I?
And this would be fairly doable for someone with little modding experience too.

Well who requested those music packs? It would be fair if they did it themself, without being unreasonable <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

EDIT: Or keep them open and un-used, until a quest-writer comes by and pick them up for a unique music layer in his quest.
I personally only use the standard pack.

Well.... <i>I</i> requested the music pack. My general idea was to just add more music to the standard music pack to add some more flavour.
I've got the music; would just need to be added. But personally I'd rather do other things.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
