its almost done to 90%, and fully playable

I have installed Systran and intend to go over it again
to correct it,.

when i am finished with the translation i uppload it to
rapidshare and give a link here

it can take 2 - 3 days

the language switch in the language.ini still is working. so maybe we should put the translation into the english folders. this will also solve the problem with the russian menu.

and also the russians will be happy that there mod is switchable form russian to english and back.

and maybe we should tell them that we are using there mod and trying to translate it. or maybe they already know <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
I have mine as default: russian

and no problems with menu.

but its worth to test it

do you have problem with the russian menu?
 
I think they are going to hang me for this translation,

first of all: great work cpt_blackfeet
but i agree with juan
and i think its also better only to include the files which really were translated in case the original mod gets updated..

also i'm not sure. but i think you forgot to include some files in Translation_K3_Mod_v9.1_sept_13_-_06__Full_version_.rar\program\dialogs\russian

if you change language in the ini there could be crash because some voices files are missing in the english voices folder...

anyway i also did a repack of your translation (added the files that were missing from your old translation, and did the ini switch)

i tested it and it seems to work...

it's probably only some drunkard saying something offensive, so those don't really need translating...

but cpt_blackfeet don't you think it's better to just make an addon that adds english version to the k3_mod than to replace the russian files alltogether ?
 
test russian mod change ini to english

change language.ini to english

copy russian voices to new map english

copy resource models mainmenu russian to new map english

ok all done and i have tested to play, and the mod works fine in english to!

does anyone know where to get the original 1.41 english "program" folder ?
because in the official 1.41 patch the english files are missing and in my original EU installation there is only a "program.dat" file which i wasn't able to open (yet)...
it seems playlogic doesn't really want their european customers to mod...

that brings me to my next question:
cpt_blackfeet: did you have the original english files or did you translate all from russian, even those that should be included in the original english version ?
