Semi sea.dll fix

ok i kept getting the same sea.dll error that would crash the game before you can play it. This isn't so much a fix as a temporary solution till something better comes.

If you remove or rename:

sea.dll
seafoam.dll
island.dll
animals.dll

from your modules folder you can play the game.

*heres the catch*

You cannot see any water animals or islands

What i do is when i go out to sea i automatically go to the map view and stay there then when i want to dock *sneak* onto the island.

If someone attacks you or you attack them heres your pickle...you cannot see any ships or water...every now and then there is a shark though. I just hold down E to zoom in the mini map, do the menu-to a ship. then line up my ship with the red ship and basically try to hit them untill i get the press F3 to board. Sure that sucks but hey....you get to play the game.

Some people had similar troubles with their PotC games. I sent them my MODULES folder and the game worked fine after. You should get someone with a properly working version to send you the MODULES folder. Even better: Have somebody put it on the FTP. Then all people can get the problem fixed for them. Hopefully.

some people downloaded the nocd patch from gameburnword and said that the modules folder that comes with that fixed a lot of problems they had, similar to the problem you describe here.

hey guys, i swapped out the .dll files and at least it starts up now, but its not very fun not being able to see anything. Anyone want to send me the files or upload them? the ones at game copy world didnt work for me.

Thank you very much. It still doesnt work, but thanks for going to the trouble of hosting them. Maybe it will help someone. I guess my only option is to wait for the patch. Thanks again.
