    Is there any way to make all of the ships available instead of only the ones from certain eras?

    There seems to be a setting at the top of "PROGRAM\Ships\Ships_init.c":
    Code:
    #define PERIOD_ACCURACY_LEVEL        2   // PB: 1 = Simplified 0% or 100% Period+Nation chance, 0 = Period chance ignored
    See what happens if you change that to 0.

    It'll do exactly what @BookStiker asks and throw period accuracy completely out of the window! :total
    F11 required on an existing save, of course.

    The question is not stupid, and you're not the first to want to do that. But please don't post the same question more than once in different areas of the forum - once is enough. ;) Having said that, if you have any more questions, please do ask them!
