?

Should surrendered captains get a -1 modifier to certain skills, as in the current system?

  1. Yes, to both grappling and leadership, just like now

  2. Yes, but only to leadership, the men won't respect the captain as much

Bear in mind that the modifier would not prevent the captain from eventually training to 10 in both skills, but it would greatly slow them down.

I voted for "Yes, but only to leadership, the men won't respect the captain as much", but only so we maintain some measure of the original intent.
But really, I have no strong feelings either way.

Voted also to have a leadership penalty because normally these captains will be stronger then normal officers already and be much better suited to command ships. So giving them a little penalty isn't so bad...

Ok, adding things up 3 out of 4 total people either like both penalties, or just the leadership one.

3 out of 4 total people favor some version of ditching the grappling penalty.

Results seem clear. Will upload a proper version to the other thread that launched ths poll, and submit to new content.
