Sorry to disturb your discussion with this offtopic-issue, but do you mean The elder scrolls:Oblivion? In that case, its the GameBryo engine. Sid Meier´s Pirates, Civilization4 and Dark Age of Camelot are titles using that very engine.

Exactly, Peter. I just couldn't think of the engine. If you check some of the seaward forums, you'll find some discussions of the upcoming version of Corsairs/Seadogs that they are working on.

I can't remember if it was AlexusB or one of the other team members, but one of them mentions they are using the engine that was used to make Oblivion.

Well, I'll have other stuff later, but here at least is the updated Antuan Dialog. Let me know if this fixes the problems with him.

Copy this to Program/Dialogs/English and overwrite whats there.

Got as far as St. martin and found things working well! Didn't have
any dialog problems, but than don't follow the story! The jungles
are all the same on all islands. Every one has the fort the game starts
with! On the possitive side, it's working!!! As I remember nothing worked
in 1.41, 1.5 or the SM. Find that enemies are too strong! If you follow the game
without using cheats, you got no hope, or it'll take you forever. Most times you meet
enemies they come in a bunch and you got no chance at all! You got to be a very fast
keyborder, lol or a good runner!! Same goes for ship battles! So you would be spendig a lot of time
trying to make money and Exp. You could get bored............. In all it's a very good effort!
I think, I'm getting some russian out of it as all commands in Sailing mode are that!
However it doesn't take enjoyment out of it!! Special thanks to you Cap'n Drow! I know how
hard it is to translate! I tried to do that in PotC from english to german and the bits of it
hanging arround on my computer somewhere.... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Good one, Nosie. I've mostly been working in the first part of the game. Haven't gotten in far enough to actually cap a ship yet. But thats because I've been working so hard on the translations. I will possibly have a new full release before too long with a bunch of newly corrected translations again.

to take this guy to Monserat ( something wrong with his girl)
Landed him on a beach, than running thru the jungle only
to find out that the quest is broken! got stuck in the Townhall
and no Gov. in sight! Bugger!!! However got myself a nice
Frigate from the english, but don't know whether I can continue?

I just play this quest: soldier arrest me, found the goveror and after released I found the Pirate's girl.
 
I think it was Mr. Zaitsev himself who said that Sea Dogs IV is to be based on that new engine.
Has anone had any contact with seaward.ru recently?
 
I haven't sadly. And its mostly Damski that seemed to be having direct contact with the Seaward folks.

I've been trying to get assistance in purchasing copies of thier older games as well as the russian version of CoAS, but with only limited success thus far.

Sorry to bug you once again, but this time-it is a major issue! In the quest "Search Eugene" you have helped the governor of Tortuga, sailed to approximately 2 islands, reached St. Eustuatis, talk to Alexander(the Russian) go to port and head out to sea, but on your way to curacao, you are followed by a pirate frigate and sent to the cabin where your SUPPOSED to talk to the man in the cabin (he looks like Blaze from the supermod) but NOTHING happens, you just stand there-there isn't even a dialogue box! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> is it underdeveloped? because i did a fresh reinstallation with the ORIGINAL russian addon, but its the same! what should i do? does anyone know?

The Monserat Gov. not there! Tried it twice, same result! It goes well up to where you
talk with the soldier at the gate. He arrest you and it finishes in the town hall of Monserat.
I'll play it again and post the error log next time....

Very strange! Maybe something went wrong with my setup?
Started the game again from a different profile and get stuck at the towngate after
evading all those soldiers at the fort,talking to the guy at the inn, getting transported to the lighthouse,
running thru the jungle to find the locked towngate! Tried that sevaral times <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
