Towns init and worldmap init? What have you managed so far?

Oh... and now I catch you here... what did you end up doing with the Eleuthera plantation slave workers/free the slaves quest and that stowaway?
I've still got your stowaway code in my game and was wondering if you were still planning on doing anything with that.
As for the slave workers, I was considering looking into preventing them from leaving the plantation, but don't want to interface with any of your work.
 
thanks, sorry i have not had that much time recently (actually doing a lot of sailing!), I still think that a stowaway aspect/ plantation quest would be good, but I am lacking in some of the important quest-making knowledge as it is a long time since I made one.

As for putting other land masses on the world map, it shouldnt be too hard to just stick together the existing islands for time pconsuming purposes.

Often finding myself without a ship (for some reason or another), I would like to be able to stowaway in another ship/join their crew. (maybe part of a quest).

I've many ideas on the go, but I've kinda lost the knack of the coding for this game a little.

So feel free to do anything with the plantation as i've not implemented anything mega just yet.

As far as importance goes, I feel that the islands in the game look nothing like the real ones. They stick up straight out of the sea too much and there should be many small random islands such as those in the maldives.

thanks, i no its a rookie mistake but at the moment, halfway through the sparrow quest, i'm lost in a jungle.

the maps don't help!

aah...

so what i mean is, there should be islands where you can walk from one end to the other, i.e. an atoll
 
Indeed the maps ARE pretty useless. Especially considering they're from a different mod where the layout of the islands is different. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

And indeed atols would be brilliant. Actual Caribbean-looking islands... now that would DEFINITLY be an improvement! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

The original intention with Sea Dogs 2 wasn't the Caribbean was it... but the whole PotC movie coming out made them change it and rush the release. Which we all know resulted in bugs galor!

Are there any modders around who can do this sort of stuff, and are there any games we could import this kinda thing from?
 
Modelers we've got ZarethPL, Yo Ho Ho and the recently-returned Damski62.
 
They never did do stuff with worldmap or islands, but send them a PM and see if they're willing to try something.
Yo Ho Ho was experimenting with a new location a short while ago and Damski62 was doing the same longer ago.
 
I get to the isla da muerte in the sparrow quest, yet there is nowhere to land..... Is this normal?

Also, whenever I load a saved game which is on the world map, It always jumps to the northern side of cuba.... Grrr!
 
The Isla de Muerte problem is a confirmed bug. The fix is included in here: <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-horizons/downloads/legend-of-jack-sparrow-fixes" target="_blank">http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-horizons/dow...k-sparrow-fixes</a>
Reload from a savegame before the mutiny, then continue play and things should work properly.
Will be included in the next update, of course.

Yes you can use the console
