[SPOILERS!]Pirates Of The Caribbean: At Worlds End

Yeah, I s'pose it must have been Pintel, I do remember him being rather eager to kill off sparrow in pirates 1, i considered Tia Dalma too, since she had that remark, but i dont think they would mention that when you havent gotten the story about it... but I just figured that since all the barbossas crew wanted to kill jack in the first movie, it is somewhat odd to emphasize pintel... but it does make sense since he is one of the people to whom jack doesnt give a reason why they can or cannot come along...
 
there... Now Ive seen curse of the black pearl again... But still its hard for me to believe that its Pintel whos tried to kill sparrow, granted, he very much wants jack dead... but he does not make a move or anything to make it happen...
 
actually he does, he cocks his pistol and is ready to fire when barbossa orders everyone to hold their fire.
 
If you don't believe me, perhaps you believe Terry Rossio. It was confirmed it indeed IS Tia Dalma on www.wordplayer.com (Ted and Terry's website) many months ago. I don't have the link to the topic anymore, but I have seen the post and I know it to be true. In any case: What ELSE would Tia respond to in AWE? The "Four of you tried to kill me" question was the one that needed answering. And it received answering.

one thing that I'm confused about is what exactly happens to Will at the end. I know he is the new captain of the flying dutchman and has to ferry the dead at sea along and stuff, but what exactly is it about the ten year period thing. When on the quarter deck the crew tells him that elizabeth cannot come near the ship and then something about a period of ten years.

And another thing that I don't understand: what's the big deal with Jack Sparrow? In the second movie, even Davy Jones has to be reminded that "he <i>is</i> Jack Sparrow". I know he's a pirate lord and such, but they seem to imply that there's a lot more to him. BTW, his dad was cool.
 
What i dont get about that ten year waiting period, is why he just dont stand in a bowl of water, Davy Jones does that during the negotiations before the battle... so technically will ought to be able to do the same...

btw, pieter, I am not saying i dont believe you... I dont know what to believe, but i would like to see the post youre talking about... that might bring some clarity to me
 
there's a secret scene after the credits which might clarify a few things. or it would at least be interesting. you can find it on youtube.

I only noticed it in AWE and thought "wow! thats cool". I don't know if that has come up yet.
 
really? i only saw the one on the front. i didn't even see it on the photo's of the thing in dry-dock.
 
I can't find the post in a hurry anymore, but it was on the Worldplayer forums, written by either Ted or Terry himself. I know that particular source to be 100% legit. I have seen the post myself and it most definitly IS Tia. Believe me if you like, or doubt it if you prefer. I recommend looking on the Wordplayer forum and trying to find it yourself.

The gruesome figurehead fell off when it became the "good" <i>Dutchman</i> and the teeth in the bow gave way to a real set of head timbers and head rails. The gunports went from ghouls to lions and such.

No figurehead from what I saw. We'll probably see a messload of new details when the DVD comes out, but 'till then, this is what I saw. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Vanderdecken you own! And i hated the scene with the Endeavour vs the dutchman and black pearl i wanted that ship to fire! it would have destroyed it if they didn't make a mistake in the scrip there. And to get the dutchman in Build mod.... make a quest where you have to get the deadmans chest or something like that and stab the heart or just play as jones to get the dutchman! And how do you make those ships? Vanderdecken?
 
I no this is an old topic but thought I should just say that when Jack first goes to sees Tia Dalma he says to gibbs its his front his worried about and the way he opens the door of her hut that mabye it's something to do with their past <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
