Ill look for erros and glitches

Just a quick question about Governor Shaw he send you out to find his daughter is it a part of standard now??
and i had an issue with the corpse on the beach.

And arent the boom on a ship supposed to be at an angle on the wind not with it?? or do i remeber wrong from those sailing contests ive seen?

From what i know the boom should be on the other side of the ship tied in to keep et in place.

It appears the booms on virtually ALL ships are pointing in the wrong direction. I wonder if it was like that since the stock game. It's certainly wrong.
And it's proving rather hard to fix. You can change the direction of the boom in the ship GM file, but then the boom also turns inside out.
If you flip the boom model inside-out then, it appears to be lighted from the wrong direction.
Then when you fix that, you lose the smoothing groups and the boom looks all squary. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Governor Shaw on Cayman gives a q to find hes daughter who should have sailed from Antigua.
To anti you go and talk with barham he sends you to an island to talk with someone in the in that sends you to a beach on the island the corpse or person there didn't respond to anything from me.

il update as i get along it in this save.

Ill try to look at the original and se if the booms went the right way back then.

Well its way back from the original!

I had no responce from it but ill se in this save when i get over there and update on it.

Thanks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

I think the sails on fixed masts and booms are tied together in the angle to the wind.

They should be, shouldn't they? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

partly tied together but the boom does not turn with em its an independent part of the rigging so you can angle better against the wind but to solve it i think iots a massive amount of work and i have no idea where to look for the info.

the boom should be on the other side of the ship and at an angle between 30 and 60 degreees to the main mast cross bar if my memory from back in school and visits to museums and such.

Edit misspells

An AI would not commit suicide!!!
I rest my case!

Look at this place it been alive for along time now never really did die even if people left and most of em have come back in short times.

So life is great and pirates live it.

Need to work on the time in Directsail took me From 1st June @1400 to 2nd june 1500 to travel from cayman to jamiaca?? A fast Schooner doing an average of 26 knots should use more than 25hours to cover distance it takes 3-4 days on the navmap when it works.

A whole day already passes for each hour at sea in an attempt to get the DirectSail and Worldmap sailing times more in line.

The worldmap assumes you're moving a LOT slower, and most of the time you are.

Grenada to Puerto Rico with a fast ship and good winds takes 6 days. Double that for poor winds or a slow ship. Double it again for poor winds AND a slow ship. That's 24 days, barely enough time to do a cargo quest.

You won't average 26 knots very often. More likely half that, so we're talking 2 days plus another day most of the time to sail into port. That's 5 or 6 days for a slow ship with bad winds. Most of the time the directsail time is comparable to the worldmap time for square rigged ships.

Hook

aah i hadn't really noticed it just seemed strange only to take one day from cayman to jamiaca.

And i think the trader update daily is creating stack overflows sometimes but not consistently.
atleast not in directsail but everytime on the navmap.
