Standard storyline 14.9 patch 1 and 2

The dialog is Antigua_victualler. It looks like the dialog wasn't finished. It's different in the Dialogs folder (which appears to be the one that's used here) and the Jack Sparrow storyline (which has more .h file entries).

Are the additional .h entries in the Jack Sparrow folders actually "Jack Sparrow"-quest-related?
I wonder where those missing lines went. I thought they did exist at some point.
 
He worked at some point i can't remeber when i he stopped working though.

Can i change dialog files and such with out starting a new game?

Nevis would be a pretty cool base of operations if they'd FIX THE DAMNED GOVERNOR DIALOG there.

yep and made the Join pirates work fully im always hated by the pirates even after i join them so strange sincee i remeber a time when it made you neutral with the pirates if you joined.
 
Changing dialogs doesn't require a new game. What else is wrong with it, apart from that "nation relations" text?
Possibly you can just copy the dialog of a governor that DOES work over it. Or something like that.
 
by the way remeber to move that san juan priests dialog i belive it is thats in some wrong folder.

its the nation relation and ask for letter of mark i think thats bonkers and those that follow after are a little dodgy too. but there has been so many changes since the original dialogs where i had an idea of where to start looking now i just get confused.
 
oh by the way is it possible to have the clock when you are on land to be updated like when on sea like evre min or sec or what ever it is.. so the clock runs and you don't get time updates on scene change??
 
As I said elsewhere, first I want to make a full merge of all the new stuff, then I intend to look into sorting out the simpler bugs like the dialog errors. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

For the time, try setting TIMEUPDATE_BLOCK_LAND to 0 in PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h; I never did that myself, so I don't know if it'll work.
I wonder what kind of effects that would have upon gameplay. I imagine there's a reason why it's not used.
 
that im about to find out if it is and if it works.
ah its can't run the clock in the normal world apparently because chaning that ont to 0 made the clock in the sea wiev be block update aswell.
changing it to 0 changes it back to stock setting i actually think.
 
i think i just found one of the things that made Father Bernard act wrong..

Captain Cook is having trouble posting, but he just sent me an e-mail with the following notes on the Animists quest:<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The Father Bernard dialogue problem is a bit strange as the dialogue files are the same as previous ones that worked. To get past the initial problem I changed the “==” to “!=” in line 89 of Father Bernard_dialog.c (I did change a couple of instances of this and back again to try and sort the problem – but I think it is and initialization problem with the quest)

Also, Need to move the dialogue files for Mergildo Hurtado_dialog.h & .c top the storyline \dialogue folder as he is in the .ini file here.

After these changes the animists quest runs up to the escort quest at Oxbay – the escort ship is there but not the two animists ships - don’t know why – the code looks right??????

it checked for rank and all now i just have to figure out why i has that missed churh_help attribute
 
okay the small change i made to the Fathers dialog did some of it now i just have to figure out how to hide that return from the church help q looking at that priest in bridgetown and prevent me from turning it in without doing the q..
We need to figure out why the church_help attribute is going wrong is it missing from characters init or something like that or is it not defined in the dialog.c and/or H of father Bernard it seems likely to be a possible culprit of some of the error log generating on em but i do not know i'm guessing extremely much at this.
