Has anyone anywhere figured out yet how to edit the particles in AoP and CoAS?
Namely those .xps files, which do not seem to be standard .xps files.

Also tried experimenting with AIballs.c trying to replace the particles with references to the old system, but the only thing that happens is that theres no cannon smoke at all.
From the looks of it the particles.ini files are just dead unused garbage code, as far as I can tell.

So either I need a way to create and edit .xps files, or a way to "force" the game to be able to use the old particle system in tandem.

Sooner or later someone has to answer. For a while I was looking for a solution to this problem, but I came to the fact that editing is not available. The particles are edited in a program that is only for official developers. We can forget about this, because not give this program anyone. :(
