    :ahoymate!

So you want to learn about textures eh? Go here to find all the tools we have for working on Storm engine games. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gpalg0tpyyfcivy/AAA7yZj3R7ivwedRKkow4oOIa/Storm engine Utilities?dl=0

What you will be wanting first is the TXConvertor. With some practice you will find out how to convert tga.tx files to tga so they can then be worked on with any program like Paint Shop or Gimp. The other tools will all come in handy later on.

    Just ask for more help.

It comes without directions so you have to figure it all out yourself. :read

Start on the right hand side and click on the hard drive where your working AOP folder is. If you want to convert ship textures go to AOP-->resource-->textures-->ships. If you select a texture it will appear in the screen in the center. To convert it click on "convert" in the top left hand corner.

Do you have AOP or AOP2?

So after several attempts im still stuck, i convertet the flagall_ship.tga found in D:\Playlogic\Age of Pirates SoAS\RESOURCE\Textures. My question is is that the right path or i am wrong? because i found another path with that file. or must i edit both?

That looks like the correct file. I do not know the file structure in COAS so cannot give advice. Try editing the other file too and see what happens, but save the originals first.

It might need to be the one in the ships textures folder?

It might be as it looks the same. There is nothing to lose by trying.

Hi all, new poster here as well. Does anyone have a link to a copy of TXConvertor? The modding tools link on this site does not seem to be working, and the Dropbox link very kindly posted by Mr. Pistof seems to have hit its limit.
