The Sloop
The schooner was not a commonley used pirate vessel though the pirates Francis Spriggs, John Phillips, Edward Low,etc. used these vessels - mostly small schooners of 4 or 6 guns and a small canoe full of men. John Phillips captained The Revenge schooner of 11 men and 6 guns, Edward low captained a small schooner, and Francis Spriggs The Delight with 18 men and 12 guns. Though the most remembered pirate schooner is the one that took on Aaron Smith- an English sailor who after beating, and cruel comments he escaped and was aquitted at his trial for he was a honest man and married ashortly after his trial.

Schooners were actually very common pirate vessels from 1815-1830 or so. That's outside the realm of the games dealt with by this website, though.

Hm thats intresting to know, From reading about Don Gilbert Pedro thats another schooner usin' pirate, though I dont know what Benito Bonito and Benito De Soto used to commit their crimes. 1815 to 1830 thats pretty intresting Captain. I'll have to read more about Pirate schooners used in the 19th century :onya
