Need Help This Finding the Trator Quest in tales of the sea hawk

Well I'm on the bit were your in Raoul's House in the smugglers den and I'm wondering what is the best way to deal with the doormen kill them outside, go inside and duke it out in there, or a mixture of both.

Also did anyone have a glich if you kill one of the doormen then wait in the taven then go back into the house two door men merge into one and you can't talk to them

Going in through the back window is easier as it doesn't trigger the rest of the town to attack you.
