Time frames for new mods, hope many !!

I know Age of Pirates is going to be just as modable as POTC and wanted to know the plans for future mods for the game.

I know many want the Napoleanic mods and I love them myself, but by that day and age there was not much of a challenge with British crews being superior and the navies of the other powers blockaded and of poor quality, ie. French and Spanish.

I would really like to see various mods and also some Napoleanic era mods but here are some more challenging mods for more Sport.

How about a Baltic Sea and North Sea Mod during THE GREAT NORTHERN WAR from the early 18th century ?

How about a Black Sea navy mod that pits the Russian ships of the line and numerous fireships and galley and frigates against the mighty Turkish Navy !! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Would love a European Mod that could do numerous wars such as The WAR of Spanish Succesion, 7 Years War, AMerican Revolution and a mod of Queen Annes War and the Anglo Dutch Wars, the indian Ocean struggles and other wars the forum would like ?

What would really be nice is a North African and Mediteranian campaign with Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli !!

I would also like different types of the same ship, sort of like in PotC, where there were 2 types of one ship. I'm going to try to give it a shot Black Bart, we'll see how it goes. But it's worth a try if we can get cool mods in, at least start on one cool one.

Guess what ??? I always wondered what Spanish Galleons looked like in the 18th century. I always knew they didn't look like the galeons from the 1500's like Pirates of the Burning Sea. Silly people.

Actually, spanish galleons always varied. They don't all look the same as the one you have there, some are larger, which are used as flag ships, or the smaller ones which were not suited for battle that carried the most gold. But my very favorite Spanish galleon would be "Nuestra Senora la Atocha", one of the more powerful spanish galleons ever made. Unfortunetaly, she met her end in the hands of a hurricane off the florida Keys in the 1720's.

btw, I think I may try to mod with you, my only problem would be school, because here in Puerto Rico, classes start in August instead of September, so I may have a problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> , with all those new teachers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />
 
Same problem with me Captain Morgan, but for me school starts in September. There's always time though if you make it.

What I do is school work first and the rest for me. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Less stress that way and plenty of time once you get work behind you.

Are there any tutorials to start modding Age of Pirates ?

What I meant though Black Bart is that for the most part and even in our beloved Age of Pirates and Pirates of the Burning Sea they always show the galleons of the 1500's and 1600's like the War Galleon and Large warship.

Never do they show them like large East Indiamen or 2 decked and even 3 decked warships. Always the old beak, square high castles and no round sterns.

But you are right in saying that of the "modern" Spanish galleons they are quite varied, even this lovely 3 decker here. This is more of the late 17th century look though, 'Virgen de Las Crucs"

I know what you mean about the work, I'm not a party animal myself, and maybe I'll be able to mod as long as it doesn't take me like 4 hours to finish the bow section of a ship and the like, time is essential and I really can't just throw it all away, even if there aren't any projects or assignments or...well, you get the idea, but I will give it a shot.
 
We all got busy times Black Bart. I just made a new girlfriend a month ago that's why Iv'e been in and out so I know what you mean about time and especially with classes.

Before going for Napoleonic Wars better to transfer the existing russin modes - at least those which remove the most stupid flaws.
