Unable to capture

Hi I have a real quirk. I'm running v1.5 with the no disc crack. None of the officers in the game have a tactics level, and so I can't capture ships after defeating the captain.
Officer's tactics rank is set to "0", not just "1" like everything else they're useless at. Likewise I am unable to level them up- the game wont allow me to improve their tactics score. This is the only skill this occurs with.
I've tried deleting and reinstalling. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> What the **** can I do about that?

Ummm.... You posted in the wrong forum, Mate. This is for the as yet unreleased in the western world game, Corsairs: City of Abandoned Ships.

I'm assuming from the way you posed your question you are playing Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales

And you must bump your tactics. Main character is the ONLY character that has that skill.
