The more and more you upgrade your weapon, there's chance the weapon is going to break depending how long you used that same weapon. i always wanted a proper upgrade weapon for my character and not just ship. as important as upgrading your ship your character is also important, because when you upgrade your weapon it's gonna make the game easier but it's gonna cost alot since it require to repair it. While i don't expect everything going to be implemented easily, it would be awesome if you guys can at least put a feature that we can enjoy to role-play either being the governor or pirate in between.

    Colony capturing

    • 1. upgrade fort cannon
    • 2. upgrade tavern - brothel supposed to be same building inside tavern not in its own building
    • 3. store upgrade - the more and more you upgrade store it will speed up local goods and adding ship to trade nearby colony with goods.
    • 4. shipyard upgrade - more you upgrade the ship yard, you will unlock tier 1 and 2 easily
    • 5. governor mansion - bed upgrade after all you need to rest
    • 6. church upgrade - can upgrade into free mason base to stage assassination
    • 7. smuggler's den (buy) - hire pirates to request capture ship or plunder nearby colony for gold and ship supply
    • 8. livestock/plantation farm - by buying this can help feed your crew and local peasants/workers/guards
    • 9. hire and train guards - pretty self explanatory.

    Merchant Raiding

If the a.i set to merchant class they cant attack you but they hire professional guard to help them defend against plundering pirates out to get their gold and goods. a small time merchant will have hard time to defend their ship because of their level of their crew most of them is sea loafers and boys.

    Customizing Ship

    1. Change color of sail
    2. Buy Figurehead of your ship
    3. Upgrade Armored hull
    4. Upgrade Cannons
    5. Upgrade rudders increase speed
    6. upgrade wheel increase turn speed
    7. change the type of flag new or tattered

This project is NOT Hearts of Oak. It is to begin as a remake of the original PotC game using the Unity engine.
If the project is to succeed, extremely fancy ideas like yours have to be ignored until the base game is up and running.
