what ye be callin' 'er?

ah, yes! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> that's the old black pearl! may i suggest 'the Black Tide'?

i know! 'crimson blood'. finally found a good name for me ship! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> rather fitting for my ship, at least. with the sails and and me playing Henry Morgan with the captain hook outfit.

Well, I had some inspiration. Iwas sailing off the coast and there was a THICK fog. It was sunset, so the fog all around me was red. Ergo,my ship is "The Crimson Myst" I like that spelling too, Myst...as in Myst-ery. Very cool. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

By the way, do you know the name of that ship? I'dlike to make it an optional starting ship.

i don't know the code-name, only that it's called the linship in-game. i figure that the code-name should be something similar. (not to be confused with the ship of the line!)

Yeah. Thanks, I'll keep looking.

Here's another name I came up with: "The Heartless"

Great pirate name. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

a sword? i can see the point in that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> hence the 'seablade'.

and how would you pronounce that? sgjan dairg?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

sgain dubh----skain doo
sgain dearg----skain cherk

that makes almost as little sense as french. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

nah. Frog language is still unbeaten as far as how much sense it makes... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />

My starting ship was the "Lost Spirit" and my second and current ship is the "Freedom". When I get my vette however, it will be called "Amor Fati". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Well, if I'm playing as myself, it'll be the heavy warship 2 and the name <i>Bonhomme Richard</i>. If I'm in a Royal Navy mood, I tend to pick the military corvette and call her the HMS <i>Deadly</i>. If I feel like a bit o' that War of 1812, it'll be the USS <i>Patriot</i>... a sloop-of-war. I've used other names like <i>Alliance</i>, <i>President</i>, <i>Congress</i>, <i>Washington</i> (These names tend to fit USN frigates well.), <i>Tonnant</i>, <i>Immortal</i>, (For bigger RN ships.)

My ship of choice is usually a corvette, with the name Wraith, Shadow or Ghost... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

i like corvettes, but the one thing i don't like about 'em is that they can't take enough. i need to have a little room for a mistake, which i don't have with the corvette. and i make A LOT of mistakes. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> not nessesarily a lot in one battle, but i just KNOW they're lurking in the background, waiting to pounce. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" /> luckily, it usually goes right, but if it goes wrong, especially with the corvette, it goess REALLY wrong.

Partial to Corvettes myself, quick and a lot of firepower. Catch up to 'em fat merchants and run and strafe the bigger behemoths. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

those bigger behemoths are the problem. manowars are really hard to take in a corvette, because it's one mistake and you sink. it is doable though.
