Which Mod Should I Install?

Ahoy!

I'd be grateful to know which mod I should install for smooth, bug-reduced gameplay?
I once installed 12.1, but my memory is much salined, and there may have been good reason why the game wasn't played.

It's a 2005/6/7(?) machine.
Here are some specs (my understanding and experience suggests that 13/14 is for much better performing machines). Also, how I do I find the older downloads?:

Ah, received this in another thread:

Perhaps you could run Build 13. It doesn't strain the hardware as much and is far better than the stock game. PotC Build 13 Final download - Mod DB

Link, and 2007. Sounds about right.

Please do warn me if you think it will be too hefty for my PC.

Indeed Build 13 Final is the way to go for the least buggy game.
You can try the latest Build 14 version once you've seen enough of Build 13 to see how that works for you.
