Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirates Life is for Me (Tavern Music)

"Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirates Life for Me" Tavern Theme Music

Made for Age of Pirates - PC Game 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I installed this music file earlier in the Pirates of the Caribbean PC game. The original game had a music file dedicated just for the tavern. If I remember correctly it was a band playing several instruments (like most of the game having nothing to do with Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean.) so, I fixed it.

In Age of Pirates they replaced the instrument/band to a file that plays some generic fanstasy game music when you are in either the Tavern or Store/Shop.

This file will change this file to play the original music from the Pirates of Caribbean Ride at Disneyland/Disneyworld.

I personally like it better because it makes the pirates sound alot more drunken and like they are singing together in the bar. I was kinda upset they didn't include this with the Pirates of the Caribbean version.

To Install:
1) Copy the "RESOURCE" folder into the root of your "Playlogic\Age of Pirates - Caribbean Tale\" directory.
2) Click "yes" to overwrite file.
3) Play game, visit tavern, drink grog, and sing along.

To Uninstall:
1) Replace "11-Town2.ogg" file in "RESOURCE\Sounds\MUSIC" with the original one located in the included "Original" folder.

this one is also in the supermod, only the quality of the one in the supermod is a little better.

What's wrong with the quality of this one? or do you mean its a different version of the song? I got this from a cd I own that came from the ride itself. The quality wasn't changed and was only converted to .ogg format.

Sorry you were so upset with PotC Tikigod, but you must remember that the reason PotC had little to do with the movie is because the game was SUPPOSED to be Sea Dogs 2. But the publisher was approached by Disney (hereafter referred to as Mickey Rat), and asked to modify and tie in Sea Dogs 2 with the PotC movie. So much of the Sea Dogs 2 content was ripped out, and replaced with cheesy crap like the skeletons.
I for one had eagerly been awaiting SD2, but became enraged to find out what had been done to it thanks to Mickey Rat's meddling. I tried a few of the early mods for it, but finally uninstalled and sold the game. I know the game has been extensively modded since that time, but I had long been done with the game.
Now, and years later, with the modified AoP, I finally have my Sea Dogs 2.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
For those that do like the game more Disney-like however, more power to 'em...

Nah, I prefer realism. I still think most pirate games are too fantasy-like or cartoonie...but, modded POTC and AOP are by far the best pirate RPG out.....I remember seadogs 2 was supposed to have slaves and such but, was taken out at Disney's request. The only thing Disney I like is the music, etc. You can't go on a pirate sea adventure without it.

By the way I heard a really good joke.......

Q: Why do pirates call themselves pirates?

A: Because they ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

yeah, i couldn't figure out what he is talking about. I downloaded his super mod and extracted it....the only version I can find he is refering to is the two inactive versions installed with the original release of POTC. (YoHo_instrumental.ogg and YoHo_With_Vocals.ogg) I am not sure what he is talking about as far as the quality. The version I made is strait from the original track used on the ride.

I'm using the Super Mod, but I never hear music in the tavern. When you get near the door you can hear people inside carousing and carrying on, but once inside nothing except occasional belching, coughing, etc. ???

Can someone tell me how to enable the tavern music?

OK, music wasn't working when starting the game with POTC music. Started the game with K3 music, and now I can hear the tavern tunes. K3 music is better anyway; just like Seadogs.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
