Yohoho's ships pack for POTC

Did you use the TOOl like this ?

1. put the details in the Folder: C:/ program/ modding/ tool/ meshes
2. open tool and load your ship model
3. click edit scene
4. add the details you want
5. delete the ship model and locators
6. save it as "deck" for example
7. load your ship model again
8. open locators and add the following : deck-geometry-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-1-0
9. save the ship model

Thx for the tip.
For the info, i'd say that about 40% of the work is done.
Unfortunately i've some work in my studies to present for next monday, and about that i'd say that about 10% of the work is done...
so... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Oh dear... good luck! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Actually, i did that :

1. put the details in the Folder: C:/ program/ modding/ tool/ meshes
2. open tool and load your ship model
3. click edit scene
4. add the details you want
5. save

And as i can see... i missed a fair amount of steps!

That's why you've got the beep. You need to do as I said in my previous message. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />

I've got an error message when deleting ship and locators, how do you supress all of it properly?!

About the locators, if I remember, I export them. Tool creates a new file. I modify the new file with notepad for instance, deleting the locators, and I import the file into Tool. But, I'm not at home so I'm not sure at 100%

Well, after several tries, it appears that when deleting all locators, i get the error message, something about index and catalog, i don't know what...

I think I understand. After adding the details, delete the <b>Hull</b>. Save your details as "deck" for example.
After that, load again the <b>Hull</b>, open the locators and add this line :
deck-geometry-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-1-1-0

Save it.

Put your deck.gm into the folder of your new ship and I think it will work.

In fact, actually, here is the way the things happens :

1) I've the ship with the details added on it
2) i do : scene > edit scene
3) i delete every part of the ship i haven't added, the different parts of the hull, the bell, ect
4) i remove all the locators
5) i try to save what remains under a .gm called "deck" and <i>BOOM</i> i get an error message and the model i try to save is unvalid

So i can't made a single model with the details

And in the other way i could'nt manage to load the parts of the hull back...

Check this topic made by YO ho ho : <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I sent him a PM

I followed this very precisely, i tested each of the details i added to see if one of it caused the error, but... no results
I noticed that on Inzane's surprise, gun hatches and guns were separated from polysurfaces, i don't know if there's link and what to do in thoses cases...

And, more over, i tried to follow this process on a simple corvette, TOOL saved it correctly, i could see it in GM viewer, but when in tried to load it ingame : CTD...

I'm really going mad now!

That would be too bad to loose that stuff! I even managed to add stern lanterns on this ship!! ( i verified those lanterns, they doesn't seem to be responsible, and the beeping model loads ingame with it)

Well, I don't know how I can help you more <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

Send your work to Yo ho ho, if you haven't done yet, maybe he won't have these problems in his computer. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Well, as all my tries still ends with those "beeps" or an error message when i try to use the good method, i plan to finish those two models, and two post them to see if anyone obtains more success with "tool" on it's computer, Yohoho says the TOOl can function very differently from a computer to another, maybe someone else will have more luck than i've to finish the job.
All of that is kinda frustrating...
