Been on the youtube today watching scientific stuff.. Damn, why mythbusters didn't come up with that thingy in the video? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> More brain power is needed, I tell you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" />

Very nice. It may be 100% efficient, but is it cost effective enough for mass distribution once perfected.

No idea. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

I agree with one of the comments. If it really can produce more energy than it uses, why can't it use the steam to drive a turbine which spins the device? Or use that turbine to generate the power for the electric motor which spins it?

It will take more than an advertising video to convince me that the law of conservation of energy and the laws of thermodynamics are no longer valid...

I'm willing to believe it can heat water without any heat supply, but that's something completely different from over 100% effiency.
If that were truly the case, this would've been front page news all over the world.
Or they would've been shut down by tremendous oil company pressure already.
No; unless I see a LOT more proof, I'm not believing it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

Huh? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

too many long words, deepy? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Let's be nice Morgan. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Free energy I think is possible. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> PERIOD. Not gonna argue any further. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

Possible? Sure. If you manage to capture lighting or a hurricane or something. The energy IS there, after all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

In my examples, there have been no working methods yet. If a method can be found, there's a LOT of energy there.
But indeed it's always a gains vs. losses problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

also, how do you contain it? putting up a windmill in a hurricane is... not a good idea, to say the least.

So... windmill's not the right way to go about it... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Well depends on what you consider "free energy". Solar or wind power aren't exactly what this term is usually used to describe (and when it comes down to it, wind power is really just solar, since it's the heat from the sun that causes the wind). A machine that makes energy out of nothing? Not possible, definitely not with a waterwheel (regardless of what dwarves would tell you). Maybe, maybe, under conditions for which we don't understand the physics yet - black holes and stuff like that.
