Your opinion about AoP

Hi, mates. Because in our f*****g country AoP still isn´t sold I would like to know from you how do you like this game and whether is better or worse by your opinion than PoTC and what are the main diferences between these two games. I read the Russians´ players reaction wasn´t too much favourable. Can you tell me please anything about this game? I would like to buy it but it´s still unavailable for me. What is the perspective and possibility for modding of this game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Rad,only been play'n the game for a 2 days,but I luv it, grahics are really good, fight mode is totaly diffrent but better,boarding is really fun, ,more micro managing than POTC, ships look really good,could use diffrent color for nations to add variety and more variety of ships, Stock controls for fight mode are clunky but you can remap to your preferance, Sea battles are spectacular, enjoy them very much and even on easy setting is hard at first.Upgrades for ships are excellent, choice of cannon calliber plus what cannons are made of. Plate upgrade for hulls show up on ships, diffrent sail materials.Downside is quite a few crashes by many people including myself. there are tips for this problem and have reduced them quite a bit so far, I would highly recommend this game as mods have alredy started and there will be an officaial patch soon to fix problems <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Hm, im waiting for the addon that will be done by ALexusB. He has done a great addon for PotC and i dont think he will do something that is worse than "Sea Legends is back", what means it might be better. Hope it will be in german or english too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Skull, as you wrote here the game is very good by your opinion and I am only glad by that. So, why where Russian fans so unsatisfied by it? I think before Akella issued the game for Western countries they probably did a lot of correction from March Russian edition. Am I right? What do you think.
But what about modding concerns I am a little skeptic. I am personally a little afraid of modding in the case the game is good or even very good except Oblivion where mods work almost perfectly in all cases. But surely I will be using them for AoP after I will play the baisc game first so as I could do some opinion about basic game and modified game. And what about hardware demandingness? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

I think was more like December than March for the Russians...

And they DID improve the game. If I recall correctly, the version number for the Russian release was 0.98 or some such, while the freshly released international version is 1.41 ...
