    "This is just a shameless try to milk the franchise." i disagree....I have never played the original game so the "franchise" didn't get me to buy this....seriously read the reviews on all the major web sites.....they clearly say that the game can get repetitive and it is not the deepest...

    i don't find going east that bad......just have to find that angle and ride the edge of a few storms.....I always hit Curaco? (Dutch Port) first then head north east to Barbados....lots of good money down there as there is like 10 spanish ports along the South American coast

    ddmagnan, i never thought of that....in the manual it says the early eras aren't much for pirates or privateers so I guess smuggling might be the way to go
