    I think you can lose your patent only if you serve France because you'll have to attack a French city. And to find mummy powder you have to ask every street merchant in each city 5 Times until you find the right one, he's not random, he's chosen from the beginning of game.

    After installing these new locations I get abnormal termination error, tried deleting options and reinstalling whole mod, nothing.

    Well, this game hasn't much of a story but get some levels by doing minor quests and one bartender on random island will sell you a second part of map, there you go. I haven't played it since 5 years at least, so please someone correct me if I'm mistaken.
