    La Sirene

I'd have a closer look on a model, when I'll have more free time and see if it is possible to reduce a polycount. She has a very plygonal heavy rigging and ornaments. It can be replaced with more simple ones. As for copyrights, I can't say nothing about it. I found her among my friends files...

Released the one and fifty three

It would be great to have 2 variations of trading and transport ships. One with standard armament and one with extended. For example Batavia has 30 guns and no guns on a center of main deck. It is not so difficult to place 10-12 more guns on a main deck and make a war version of Batavia. It is...

    BRIG replacement suggestions

To match a historical authenticity :) It is not so important for me. 4 strings in common.ini can be changed in a minute. The main question for me is what to do? Build a brig or snow to replace the stock brig? Or it is better to build a ketch and get rid of brig completely? I'm eager to do both...

    BRIG replacement suggestions

I didn't mean making a ketch of a brig. The first variant meant to make a snow or a brig without global changing of the rigging and name it brigantine to match historical authenticity. There have to be only minor changes to the whole ship look- replacing a steering wheel with a lever and...

    Interesting ship plans

Update: - Munker, shnyava, 14-guns, 1703 - Le Mercure, merchant ship, 20 guns, 1730. Similar to La Concorde, which became a Blackbeard's flagship Queen Anne's Revenge.

    BRIG replacement suggestions

As my brigantine is going to be finished, I want to start this topic to listen different opinions about possible replacements for Brig1, BrigSW and BrigQueen models. I've got several variants: 1. During my past vacation I've studied an Osprey Vanguard journal #70 dedicated to pirate ships of...

    Interesting ship plans

There were at least two ships of the line in French navy named "Royal Louis" the first one was built in 1668 and the second one was late 18th century ship. As for heavy frigates I'd vote for La Francois instead of La Capricieux. The first reason is that La Francois was bigger and better armed...

    Interesting ship plans

Small update: Acquired plans of the ships of Abel Tasman, Heemskerck (sloop of war, 20 guns, 1638) and Zeehaen (fluyt, 4 guns, 1639). The quality of plans and graphics is very high.

Brigantine Castell Friedrichsburg 1688, upgraded to 16 guns

A small update: Worked on rigging mostly and some minor details

    La Sirene

As for dutch ships, I've got plans of Prins Willem- 60 guns rearmed indiaman. Looking closer on them, I figured out that stock flying dutchman was made according to the same plans and it would be easy to make a conversion.

    Updates: - La Francois, 40 guns frigate, 1683 - La Capricieux, 36 guns frigate, 1690. - Hackham, 10 guns privateer ketch, 17th century. - Cacafuego, 14 guns, 2 mortars bomb ketch, 1679. - Royal Transport, 12 guns schooner, 1695. - St. Paul, 26 guns frigate, 1697. - Peregrine, 24 guns...

Can somebody make Peter Blood without the ponytail!!

Hello. I'm using this mod: http://corsairs-harbour.ru/downloads.php?page_id=72 The Bloods model is in the center of the screenshot. As for me it is much closer to literature look than older one.

    La Sirene

I think it is a great model to be placed in COAS. As I suppose it is a work of the same modeler as one who created the Soleil Royal, the style is similar. If somebody is interested, PM me please, and I'll send this model. I don't want to work with her myself, because there is a lack of 17th...

Brigantine Castell Friedrichsburg 1688, upgraded to 16 guns

Fresh updates: Started working on rigging. I think another week or two and she'll be finished. BTW, I decided to remove the front chasers from forecastle and place them on a main deck. So there are still 16 guns.

    Interesting ship plans

    Update: - Spanish polacre, 14 guns, 1692.

Brigantine Castell Friedrichsburg 1688, upgraded to 16 guns

Thanks a lot, guys! It's a pleasure to read such compliments! The only problem with ornaments was the faces of figures. They are not very realistic. But considering that it is my very first ship model and the fourth model at all, I think they're all right. And not to heavy on polygons...

Brigantine Castell Friedrichsburg 1688, upgraded to 16 guns

:g1 It isn't so bad, as it appears. For example, Poseidon has 39582 polygons on hull, without details. And the guns, fences, bells etc have another 70260 polygons. And CPUs works fine with that model. My brigantine is still below 40k polygons. And almost all the detailed objects are done. If it...

    Interesting ship plans

Updates: - Wodnik, 17th century galeon (she has 16 guns actually). Added some graphics. - Stadt Von Bremen, cutter-rigged yacht, 8 guns, 1690. - Nuestra Senora de Atocha, caravel, 6 guns, 1610. - Santiago de Compostella, four-masted galeon, 18 guns, 16th century. - Saints Peter and Paul...

Brigantine Castell Friedrichsburg 1688, upgraded to 16 guns

2Nightwatcher: You won't believe it, but the figurehead was made less than in two hours with help of a modeling tutorial that teaches how to create a dog from a "Bolt" cartoon :) You were right about the hull. I made it thicker to match the plans. 2Morgan Terror: There will be a general work on...
