    At this moment, there is no toggle for old battle system. I will think what to do with it later, this one is in testing phase. About the particles system and 2.0 dialogs, @ChezJfrey might have an answer to that wether it's possible or not... And thanks for that piece of code :)

    I haven't removed them, they are engine limitation. In 2.8 engine they don't exist. They must have removed them in 2.5 engine and kept that way.

    Yesterday we added fatigue into New Horizons mod. Now player and AI have energy just like in COAS and the combat system becomes more tactical.

    @ChezJfrey has fixed the cannon fire particles problem. It happened because NH has a feature where insufficient crew member makes you unable to use all the cannons. Those inactive cannons were lighting up, Jeffrey fixed that in Maelstrom. Will be available in the next update.
