Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

the deal with the store owner is to sink the ship - there are four possible outcomes: a) sink the ship without boarding - quest completed (didn't test this option) b) board the ship and let it sink - quest should be completed the same way as above but in the quest book shows up a new entry...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

There's a bug in the quest "Blue Bird" - when you board the ship and sink it, the quest - book still says that the ship got away and you failed :-/ I was sailing ship - Brigatine Heavy "Providence" - after they took down my mast (the one in the back) the game crashed...but it happened only once...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

the same thing happened to me just yesterday. I took the quest to find the double-barreled musketon and after I spoke to the pirate - chief on Bermuda I encoutered a pirate ship on the world map (description said it was "gentleman of fortune") I thought it was the ship I was suppossed to track...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

no it wasn't. The description of "food" says that every day 1 unit of food is consumed by 10 crew members and 20 slaves. As Luke said the food rations were changed so if the description hasn't been corrected this ration no longer applyies, but still you can see that a crew of 70 sailors consumes...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

I think there's something wrong with the food rations....because a few minutes ago I had about 30 crew on my ship (after some battle) and in the "ship" menu it said "Food for 40 days". Then in a tavern I hired about 30 new men and it keeps showing "Food for 40 days". It seems that the game...

    Solved Newbie HELP!

Maybe a stupid question but what do weapon skills improve? What is the difference between Light weapons skill at 10 and 80 when I use a rapier? Dammage? Chance to score a critical hit? Stamina drain? And is it the same for Pistols? Or does it improve something else there? Like accuracy, reload...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

One thing crossed my mind since GoF aims for more realistic gameplay: it doesn't seem much real when you use "go to" or "sail to" feature and you instantly "teleport" to wherever you selected...would it be possible to move time forward everytime the player uses this? Let's say +5 minutes for...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

wouldn't it be better to pack the changes that force you to start a new game in one bigger patch and release it, let's say, once every three weeks and smaller changes release as it is now? because the way I understand it, the main stability problems in GoF 1.2 were in lategame in huge ship...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

And one more thing I came across - in cities you can run into people who give you nautical quizes. One of them gave me for the right answer location of a statue, that is suppoesed to help me with ship repairs. In vanilla game it provided +30 to repairs, but since these statues, idols...

I think it would be better but it's just my opinion ;-)

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

Would it be possible to give at least some goods to a new game that you could sell? Because a player starts with minimal crew and hull damaged at 50%. When you repair it and hire some crew you barely have any money left. You can't start shipping goods, because you don't have money to buy...

Solved Can't board anyone, can be boarded

I have the same problem...I play a Dutch character and NPC can board me but I can't board any ship :-/ what should I do with the file mentioned above? Replace the original and that should be it? Cause I did it and when I load the game I still can't board anything - the only thing that changed...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

Luke 159: what I meant was this situation: I enter a town, go to the local store. I start talking to the shop owner and get to the trade screen, where are 3 filters - "Ship hold" - "Both" - "Shop stock" (or something like that) and by default it is set to "Both". I want to sell some of the goods...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

Ok, so it works fine now...the problem was, that I wanted to run my copy without constant puting DVD in and out, so I used a mini-image, but without it it works without any problem...so I'm gonna have to use the dvd all the time, but it is better then not to play :-) thanks you all for offered...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

as I see it now...would it bee possible to make these "goods filters" remember what you ticked? so if you chose to show trader's wares only the filter would stay active until you change it? it is no big deal, but if you're looking for some item and checking all traders in the city, it is faster...

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

ok, so I reinstalled it and played without mod and it still crashes on the world map...but I was able to get from Caracas to San Juan before it crashed...with mod it mostly crashed sooner...but this proves that it is not problem of GoF 2.0 or any mod... too bad.... any clues what could be wrong?

Mod Release Gentlemen Of Fortune 2.0

I played some more and I don't think it is area-specific because when I sail somewhere else it crashes again - last time it was when I sailed west of Cuba. (it is all near Cuba, because I just started the game and haven't gotten anywhere further :-D ) but since it crashes about the same rate as...
