    I've found lakes where there weren't any on the world map. Just small ones, but they were there. Check the inlet there just south of Margarita. Maybe that will produce some results.

    Well, sorry to inform you, but that patch of water could easily be a lake as well. I've had this happen to me plenty of times and the only way I was able to even make anything out of it was landing on shore and searching in the area they say, even if it means walking inland for weeks.     Are naval battles supposed to be in slow motion?

    This happened to me alot until I turned of `Anti-Aliasing` on my graphics card. Took a hit in graphics, but it still looks good enough. Doing so, however, sped up my ship battler and duels considerably. Also sped up land fall related stuff as well (i.e. - treasure hunting, land battles, etc.).

    Don't know. Just couldn't get into Cutthroats at the time. Matter of fact, I seem to recall that being a time in my life when I couldn't get into much of anything really. I'll give it another go sometime. Still have it in my library. I rarely get rid of games if I can avoid it.
