    yeah, that happens sometimes if you kill captain with the pistol or a big hit (at least to me), but you did it right - he should speak to you just before you kill him (low on health) just like in some other similar quests

    I guess it's due to size of the file and probably low memory available - I get that with large archives and installers on my old pc.

    Yeah, as a pirate you don't get other flags. You'll have to get appropriate "ship skill" or letter of marque.

    it's the rank/leadership, not reputation - played both as a good guy and bad guy and always had tons of crew to hire on higher lvl's

    It was like that in vanilla aswell, only in CMV the lower limit is 0.0 while in vanilla it was 5.0 (if I'm not mistaken). I'm not part of the modding team so I have no idea what they have planned for next release, but I remember a debate a while ago here on forum on how to disable those random...

    I reckon it ain't that hard to do...just got to figure out the variables that "represent" leadership, reputation, etc... or re-define them (btw, I think leadership affects surrender, but haven't found a part of code where it's defined). After that it should be no more than adding "if"/"else if"...

    No offense mate but you got it wrong. In your example, if you have 200 men enemy has to have less than 399 men to surrender, while in mine if you have 200 men enemy has to have less than 125 men to surrender. Or in words "if my crew is more than half of the enemy crew ..." and "if my crew is...

    well, from what I understood "mcrew" is player's crew while "ecrew" is enemy crew. but like you said, that's only the sailor count. I think leadership plays a role as well, as for rest I believe it's possible to add more conditions, but it would take someone that understands the code to dig...

    I guess maybe if you put it something like this for example: if (mcrew > ( ecrew * 1.6 )) That would make enemy crew surrender if you have more than 1.6 times their crew. But then again, I'm no coder and have only very limited knowledge of C++... and those unreadable comments don't help. :D

    I think you have to speak with Morgan's secretary first, after a month or so (not sure about the waiting one month), who tells you that Morgan is in London. After that there is this 1 year wait period for quest-line to finally finish.

    1. you answered it yourself in the second part of the question - after you get the patent and only from g-g 2. I belive you can, but only one of those randomly generated from governors. I'm not sure, but i believe you don't get any more tasks from g-g 3. No :D

    Yes, there's diplomat in the taverns of pirate colonies - one in each. Also, you could sneak in the town, do a task for priest or port controller or even do a task for governor. Or, if you got bounty on your head, all of the former applies except governor's mission, in that case you get a chance...
