    Hehe... apparently reinstalling build 12.1 adn repeating the whole procedure worked... i can now run build 13... thanks for the help Pieter... this had been a poor community woithout the mods and assistance from people such as you... I'm gonna play now :-P

    I've done all of the above things... I had a working build 12 installed... I extracted the base and current update (august 16th) on top of the POTC folder... I ran the english.bat (it did say that some files were missing to begin with, could that be it????(I have not deleted any files at all)) I...

    I've been doing a little smuggling to make som fast money, and when i then got back in town (i was attacked my some stupid french fools, whom i plundered and sank, when i talked to the shipyard guy my reputation all of a sudden dropped from neutral to horror of the high seas... thats weird...
