1. Commodore John Paul Jones

Limiting ships to certain nations

I have the file that replaces the character's flag with a Star Spangled Banner, the British have a red RN ensign, and the French the Tricolour... only problem is the attachments section won't let me upload the file... says its the wrong type.
2. Commodore John Paul Jones

Your Preferred Jack Sparrow Model

I like K&TT's version. The boots are the correct color, the sash is right, the skin is lightened a bit so you can see more detail, the hangar is changed, and he doesn't look like a dusty blacksmith.

The "Betsy Ross" flag, a recognizable flag for generic use. (1776) Here's the "Serapis" flag, thought to be the flag of choice for John Paul Jones and an...

Endeavour

She may be the oldest commissioned warship in the world... but the USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship in the world still afloat... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> So there...

Endeavour

I have two models of the Constitution. The first is a three foot long model from Revell with something like 2000 parts (not including sails and rigging, blocks and tackles). The second is an inch long model, made of pewter. She's fully rigged... and I shouldn't have done that. It took...

East India Company Troops

I think they wanted a darker uniform to make them look like the true villians. The dark uniforms makes them seem like the Nazis or something. I didn't like the blue and red either. I thought I was catching glimpses of American Continentals in the trailer and it got my hopes up. <img...

East India Company Troops

I think the uniforms we see the HEITC wearing in the Pirates films are not what they actually wore. HEITC Commander Coatee (c. 1830) <a...

15. Commodore John Paul Jones

Mooring ships at the jetty

I skimmed through these posts so it may have been addressed already, but I think a brig would be the largest thing to be moored at a dock. Larger ships with three masts, (save an xebec, yacht, barque, etc.) would lay at an anchor cable out in the deeper water.

US and France - Allies (Wary from 1797-1800 because of the XYZ Affair and the Quasi War) US and Spain - Nuteral US and Portugal - Nuteral US and Holland - Allies US and England - Wary or Enemies (Depends on year) US and Pirates - Enemies I would say we don't see Colonials until about 1760, then...

Limiting ships to certain nations

Well, its not all too hard to add people to the island, and perhaps Falaise de Fleur should be geared towards the military oriented type... more urban places to go with more people... a sort of "Colonial Boston". Less swashbuckling adventure in the jungle and more honorable and loyal duty for...
18. Commodore John Paul Jones

Limiting ships to certain nations

Perhaps John Paul Jones could be put ingame somewhere as a sort of bonus character on a French island somewhere, like the Mary Wood character on Tortuga. Jones had the tendency to operate for the Continental Navy on an international scale, preferring to take the war to the enemy and operate out...
19. Commodore John Paul Jones

Limiting ships to certain nations

The Bonhomme Richard (Originally the Duc'de Doras) was a Dutch merchantman purchased by the French India Company. However, she is more widely known as the ship that Benjamin Franklin purchased and gave to Captain John Paul Jones. She was the ship he took into batte against the HMS...
