    thanks guys, I've been able to win some fights now. but now i have another problem. I moored in the Spanish port, but when I try to leave they turn hostile and sink my ship before I can move. It's very annoying. What do I do?

    well then i must suck really bad lol. I've beat the original game before but I don't remember it being so hard. all the enemies do like 30 damage to me in 1 hit. while it takes me like 5 to 7 to kill one of them. when i board a ship my crew is dead in like 3 seconds and then around 6 pirates...
