    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

A couple of months in-game have passed since the first such attack, but the people still attack me, even in pirate towns where I wasn't before. It's a gamekiller, because I need to talk to the pirate boss in Nevis for the main quest to progress, but he is hostile to me too. However, I've solved...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Yes, I've been there before, and I remember it being peaceful at first, and I might fought there before. But after experiencing the attacks in Nevis Pirate Settlement, when I entered Grand Turk for the first time, the townsfolk attacked there too. Same with a smuggler village. My reputation is...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

I've got a new problem. Every time I enter a pirate settlement the civilians attack me. The store owners are panicked, so I can't make business with 'em. But the worst thing, Mr. Isenbrandt attacks me too, and I cannot continue the main quest (I'm at the "Deliver a letter to a pirate chief"...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

My bad then. :kev They sure do better be allies, because uniforms like this can cause some epic rate of friendly fire.

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

So, to make it clear, is that what the Spaniards should look like?

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

NH storyline, didn't start a new game, same campaign I posted the screenies of. I can't connect it with any single event, I was just strolling in a town when something seemed out of place, and it hit me that I'm not in a French town. I'm gonna check tomorrow how is it in a new game.

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

I mixed it up, the Spanish are wearing the French grey, plus I checked, and the Portugese are all right. Dunno what the Spanish uniforms should look, though, but it's definitely French uniform they wear, same with the Tailor thing.

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Just for the record: I successfully ransomed a captive dutch captain in an english port. Seems I got a bug: the portugese soldiers are wearing the grey french uniform (maybe the spanish do this too), even at the tailor, when it says some kind of portugese outfit, it's a variant of the french...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

For my outfit, I've opened PROGRAM\Storyline\standard.c, then changed the line sl.(sn).start.model = "Blaze"; to sl.(sn).start.model = "Devlin"; and started a new game. For the hottie Ms. Devlin skin, I found it at a pirate tailor. (No idea which one, maybe the one at Nevis Pirate Settlement)

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Thanks, so it's not a bug or problem on my side. And, actually it's realistic. My thoughts exactly. The only additional info appearing should be what I don't know as the player, but my character should know as a captain. (Anyone know which setting is the closest to this?)

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Nice pics! However, His Cursedness looks a bit bugged... I've got another question/problem: My spyglass is set to realistic, but the most info I can get about other ships are only their names, and that only at close distance (I've got a masterwork spyglass). As I read the description in the...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm starting to get a grip on things. I've got money, wenches and a beautiful ship, and I look cool all along. Here's how I look when I roam the caribbean: My ship, the Leprechaun My shore party (I'm doing the NH story, I just use the Devlin skins, because -...
  13. Bromden

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Aye, I am aware of that, the ex-captains I talked about were all hired - to take their ships to the nearest port, or just out of cool looking-ness - but now they are as useless as the tongueless lawyer in Polanski's Pirates. Now that you mention captives - is there a certain condition for the...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Ach, talking to them, I dunno how I managed to not try this. Thanks for the help. My shore party is pretty tough, not one of them died for a long time now. I shall keep the better folks as backup though, but there are at least 6 of low level shipless ex-captains, who are only good for...

    Ahoy mateys! (and a question)

Hello folks! I have to say after a couple of days lurking, you have a nice community here. The name's Bromden, and I'm new here. After seeing a couple of screenies on a forum about this beauty, I rushed to a friend of mine and commandeered his copy of PotC. I installed build 14 beta, and my...
