    Guns bug ? - or am I wrong!

    Gotta admit that I never paid much attention to that, but maybe the "loaded" bar is dependent on which of your sides faces the enemy? Ever tried turning 180° in those cases and fire again right away? Do you get another full salvo then?

    To bombard a town just sail near (no too near mind you, or else you'll enter it) and press Space. Careful though: shoot too much and you'll reduce the city's wealth.     Can't tell you in years, just that whenever I bought one it upped my health status one level. Seeing as some people seem to have been forced to retire at ~30 I'd guess they give you ~5 years extra each. Perhaps more.
