    I think I have a problem sinking ships

    Always I am doing a quest where I have to sink one or more ships my cannon balls just go through the enemy ship. i see how the cannon balls go through the hull or sails and then land in the sea. I hurt my enemy's ship but it take a lot of time. Is this normal?

    I got my letter of marque from a pirate settlement, then I did the 2 first questline missions for the governor in tortuga, then I went to CoAS to make that questline, then I lost my Corsaire title, I still have my letter of marque but when I talk to the general governor he says he doesnt know me.
