    They still have those lights in the gameplay demos at Playlogic's site. But I also wonder if they could be removed somehow... (I'd also like to see night battles a bit harder. You should not see icons above enemy ships telling you where they are in the darkness. In fact, fighting in the dark...

    Melee combat.

    I would hope for a decent swordplay simulation as well, with sets of various attacks, dodges and blocks, that are different depending on the sword type that you use (falchion, sabre, rapier etc.). But, looking at the video, I doubt that's going to happen. Which is a pity.

    Remember also that Playlogic's asked some changes to the game for the international version, so it will not be exactly the same as Corsairs3. Let's hope that that means that there will be a bit more variance to the missions...

    Indeed, Pirates! offers virtually nothing for the user to mod, despite the half-promises etc. that abounded before the release.
