    i'm using GME too and it works...so i think its not the issue. but i use german version with win 7 64 bit but i have another error: i reach the town hall in santo domingo (after first visit in La Vega) and defeat the soldiers in there. then i move to the bedroom and if i'm talking to this guy...

    mess things up

    if didn't change anything F5 would only send the message on your screen...i think by pressing F11 theres an option to turn this off (not shure) by pressing F11 you can turn worldmapencounters off and on...maybe this can help you...but i'm not shure so you should make a backup of your save

    crashing during the game or didn't start? i tried to put the stuff in the COAS files and at startup it crashes immediately. but if i take some lines out of the CCCdirectsail.c then the game will start...did some scripting commands change from PotC to COAS?

    i disabled the storms on COAS. you have to enter the city after copying the file to "...Age of Pirates 2\Program\Quests" (don't forget to backup the original file) without storm i didn't have any trouble in COAS Edit: a little problem i found: if you leave COAS you didn't swin, you will "fly"...

    i edited it to 1600x900...and in the menu the upper and lower area isn't in the screen...but ingame you see everything...its only a bit streched
