Yes indeed. Somehow I expected as much... Huh, I did NOT expect that!! That's pretty weird. o_O

Need Help The speed of ships

Definitely not intentionally, no. I don't believe @Hammie would do that. It would just make no sense. That was by the CoastGuard guy. We really don't understand what is plaguing him.

Need Help The speed of ships

@Grey Roger What is your experience with this? That's weird stuff. For following winds, a square rig works wonders. Fore-and-aft is designed for beam winds and such.

    Pirates' movies

Good discussion on pirate movies here too: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GENHQPEeV/ I hadn't yet heard of: The King's Pirate Double Crossbones The Pirate (Gene Kelly & Judy Garland) Kidnapped Pirates of Penzance (Kevin Kline) Even @modernknight1 himself pitches in for this Facebook...

Comparing Far Cry 1 and Pirates of the Caribbean

Yes. Indeed. Though question there: Does Far Cry have story waves at well? And some measure of ship stability on top of that? That can't have been easy to pull off by Akella.

    Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Yep, definitely fun indeed! Captain Silvo was a dead ringer for Captain Silver.

Comparing Far Cry 1 and Pirates of the Caribbean

I thought the graphics of PotC were very good by 2003 standards. Not FarCry good, but very good all the same. As for your question on having more time, the later Storm 2.8+ games should answer that.

    Submarine Films

A bit different from the usual Pirates, but maritime is still maritime! The following is reproduced with permission from Luukfit on Discord: A while ago I had this idea: every movie/story with a submarine in it is awesome. This was because I watched Das Boot, Red October, Crimson Tide, The...

Oh yes, that's indeed German for sure. Interesting! I didn't have a clue until you mentioned. I heard the English one before, but German is new to me.

Have you tried the TEHO/Caribbean Legend tutorial? It's ONLY text dumps. And MASSIVE ones at that. At least PotC has you actually try the things you're told to do in person. INFINITELY better.
