Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Yes, you can see it in the red marked window.
  2. Jack Rackham

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Yes. Maybe that will be better if you go for the "namechanging program" of the COL files. Right now POTC doesn't read the VCO COL files you've got there. I can't explain why some models looks ok anyway though.

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

The location looks fine even without the use of COL-files, I guess. If you want to use VCO COL-files you can rename them to POTC names: VCO POTC 1 DAY1 2 MORNING1 0 EVENING3 3 NIGHT1 so 1001029_1.COL...

One more thing. Grass in VCO-locations I have never got to work at all. There is program for that (GrassGenerator) but no luck so far. So outcomment the grassline for now.

Here's a textblock to add in your console.c Place it after case 2. Don't forget to change the switch to 20 at the beginning of the file. Start your storyline anywhere and press F12. It first teleports you to "Sacred forest" and when you're there to check the coordinates for new locators with...

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Here's the walk_patch you'll need. Don't use walk_patch.gm but this one: walk_patch .ptc I have not been able to test it so we'll see...
  7. Jack Rackham

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Yes but there's no reason in this case to create a specific folder for these VCO textures. All the other VCO locations in POTC normally have there texture files in TEXTURES.
  8. Jack Rackham

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Yes. The textures needed are not always found in the corresponding folders in VCO. So you may have to do a search for them. When importing textures check that it dosen't exists a texture file already in POTC with the same name. If so rename the new one and change it in Hex editor. Check in...

I always just round off those numbers to 0 which is close enough.

As I remember it the GoldBug cavern has three doors and one rope exit. Don't know what could have happened with the big fish - I've never got stuck there. But I do everything "right", that's the problem.
  11. Jack Rackham

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

Yes, that's what happens in the GoldBug.

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

No objection - it's not quest unique.

@Grey Roger that really improved the Blue Cavern. :onya No idea why I never did it years ago.

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

@BathtubPirate when you have imported a VCO location I can help you with making a walk patch for POTC. Shores, jungles etc are more likely to work than cities as the stairs almost everytime create stops in the patches.
  15. Jack Rackham

Devlin Opera for the 65742th time

@BathtubPirate Forget the chest but use the two doors if you like. The only thing is that you'll need doors in the two adjacent locations as well to make it look good.

Yes thanks that would be nice!

Thanks. I downloaded your locatorfile and saw something. The xz and the zx should never be the same. xz = - zx always. Try change one of them. If it works but the direction of the locator is wrong it was the other one you should have changed.
