    Are you positive that the game is using your Geforce 970 and not the built in Intel graphics? I would suggest uninstalling, then reinstalling just the vanilla game and check that performance.

    Then why did you decide to post it in a thread about game trailers? Obviously you never played the original Sid Meiers Pirates! Even after almost 30 years, that is still the best pirate game ever made. As I stated, a lot of my favorite games came out before there were game trailers.
