    Maybe from realistic point of view it is true, but according to the game mechanic it's quite illogical. Now repair skill, and even Carpenter position is almost useless -- that ruins game concept and skill system.

    As ships HPs in CM (and I believe in GoF too) increased drastically it is almost useless to use planks and canvas for self-repair now. Even a full cargo load of planks cannot restore HPs of large ships. Is it a bug or a feature? I think it is better to change plank-to-HP amount to have the same...

    What is a reason for this? There is a Mod by Philippe with colored sails and any emblems, I've adopted it for CMv3.2.1 and it works quite fine for me. So I don't think that this is a technical problem. So it is ideological?
