Alone, all at sea with no help...

hello there,

I was poking round the internet looking for that all illusive patch for PoTC, when i found pirates ahoy, and thought that build 12 sounds superb.

I tried installing it, but i've had muchos troubles, and still cant get it to work <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I know other people seem to have had my problems, but i can't follow the solutions, and all the juicy changes you've made in the build are evading me! >.<

I have a British copy of the game, and had no patches or previous builds.
I installed build 12, selected all of the options on the little tick list (european support, textures etc) and loaded the game. i marvelled at the new front screen (it's vey pretty) and tried to load my old saved game from my `un-modded` version, and it didnt work, i tried pressing i, but that just dumped me out of the game. (i realised later that that only works in the build 11?)

so i then accepted that i wouldnt be able to play with my old character, and tried to start a new game... but that just dumped to a black screen, where i can only press f2 to see yet more of the changes... but cant play with! >.<

i've uninstalled the mod now, could i get some advice on what i need to do to make the build 12 work?

I know others have had similar problems, but i cant follow them... can someone please spare some time and help me out?

same black screen of doom. >.<

Ahhh, got it working!
If any other young uns get this problem, try installing build 11, then 12. worked for meee!
